Lately I’ve had the urge to make some small updates to my apartment to make it feel more homey and to give it a little more personality.
I think staying at home some often has given me that added push to make some updates and it’s almost winter time which makes me want to nest more and create the most joyful space possible.
In other areas of the world that would mean bringing out heavy quilts and comforters, having the fireplace on at all hours and bundling up for the colder months, but in Southern California we don’t really have a winter so I’m more focused on good vibes!
I love Justina Blakeney’s Book The New Bohemian Handbook, and I’m using a lot of her tips to help me decorate. Here’s a list of what’s on my shopping list, to create the ultimate zen apartment!
- Target’s Opalhouse Collection gives all the boho vibes at half the price, I’m eyeing this Teal Velvet Headboard for my bedroom
- I’m in dire need of a new dresser and I love this Anthropologie Ingram Seven Drawer Dresser, there’s a ton of storage space and I love the gold accents for a touch of glam to my coastal style
- My parents recently gave me an old Pottery Barn Orange Chinoiserie Quilt, it has so much character and I’m going to pair it with these beautiful Anthropologie Briony Euro Shams
- I recently bought this Moroccan Leather Ottoman Pouf and it completes my living room and brings everything together in balance
- Lastly, this Anthropologie Indira Lumbar Pillow will add some much needed texture to my bedroom and the gold sequin detailing will tie nicely with the gold accents in my bedroom
How are you preparing for winter and staying home?
